What will AGI do for Bid Takeoff Accuracy?
Commercial estimators spend hundreds of hours manually quantifying materials from complex architectural blueprints to build competitive bids. A single takeoff requires identifying thousands of distinct components, such as linear feet of conduit, specific fixture types, and wall assemblies, across dozens of overlapping PDF sheets. When estimators miss a symbol or miscalculate a scale, the resulting bid is either too high to win the project or too low to turn a profit.
