Problems
What will AGI do for Practical Skills Assessment?
Organizations rely on proxy metrics like multiple-choice tests or self-reported experience because directly measuring a candidate's ability to execute complex, open-ended tasks is prohibitively expensive. Technical recruiters, certification bodies, and vocational educators face a structural bottleneck where evaluating a functional codebase, a sales negotiation, or a design mockup requires synchronous human expert review. This limits the volume of candidates an organization processes and restricts hiring to conventional credential filters.
