This subclass comprises local fixed route passenger transportation service by road except urban transit service, transportation of students between home and school on a regular basis, and shuttle service. Covers employee transportation to work arranged by the employer and operated on regular routes and schedules. Vehicles used are typically buses but may be smaller vehicles such as vans and cars, and may be accessible to people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Passengers are not charged a per-trip fee. Covers employee transportation to work whether paid for by passengers or by contracts. Carpool transportation is provided by arranging and administering pools and providing a vehicle to members of each pool in exchange for a monthly fee to cover operating costs. One or more pool members must act as driver.
